Subscriptions & Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select Cinder Premium, and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.

How do I restore my purchases?

In the Cinder app, open the paywall and tap Restore at the bottom. Any active subscription tied to your Apple ID will be restored.

Will I be charged during the free trial?

No. The 7-day free trial (yearly plan only) is fully free — no charges will be made during the trial period. You can cancel any time before the trial ends and you will not be billed.

How do I request a refund?

All purchases are processed through Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Refunds are at Apple’s discretion. If you need help, email us and we’ll do what we can.

Using Cinder

What happens if I have a slip?

Your progress is not lost. Cinder tracks your current streak, longest streak, and total clean days separately. A slip resets only the current streak — your longest streak and total clean days are preserved. Setbacks are setbacks, not delete buttons.

Does Cinder use my Apple Health data?

Only if you grant permission. Cinder reads your resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and sleep data from Apple Health to power your Recovery Score and personalized insights. This data never leaves your device — we do not transmit raw health data to our servers.

When do my health insights unlock?

Personalized insights from Apple Health unlock after 72 hours of being clean. Before that, your Recovery Score and progress tracking are still active — the insights view simply waits for enough post-quit data to be meaningful.

I don’t have an account. How do I sync to a new device?

Cinder doesn’t use accounts or email sign-ups. Your data is tied to your device. If you upgrade to a new iPhone, restoring from an iCloud backup will restore your Cinder data. Your subscription follows your Apple ID and can be restored on any device using the Restore button on the paywall.

Privacy & Data

How do I delete my data?

Inside the Cinder app, go to Settings → Delete My Data. This permanently removes all your data from our servers. You can also email support@foxtide.co to request deletion.

What data does Cinder collect?

See our Privacy Policy for full detail. The short version: an anonymous device ID, product analytics, purchase status, and crash/performance data. No name, email, phone number, or contact info. Health data stays on your device.
